well they did it again. they gave us another 30 minutes of the most totally brutal metal this planet has ever known. i bought this today. i know everyone i know wants me to burn them a copy and all, but i don't have enough cds, so i'm going to have a competition.

everyone just tell me HOW INSANELY BAD you want a copy and i'll pick the top 3 or something.

now that most of the remeniscing about last weekend is over, i feel that it is time to address a great injustice that was perpetrated upon me.

it's a good thing this company i'm interviewing with is flying me there.  here's the deal:

i was having a really crappy day on thursday, but then i got a phone call from a number i didn't know.  i answered it and it was this lady that i talked to like a week and a half ago at the job fair.  she was just calling to see if i would be interested in coming on down to tampa for the next round of interviews and whatnot.  

they will be flying me out of either bham or tha atl on thursday, apr 6 and putting me up in a hotel.  friday we have a full day of seeing what i'd be doing if i took a job with them and meeting some of the company bigwigs.   that night we have an "informal social" with some of the engineers.  the lady on the phone told me that "by the end of the social i'll probably have a few beers in me, so they'll just go ahead and put me up in the hotel again that night and fly me out on saturday."  

i've been in the interview game for about 2 weeks.  i've got about six months or more of it left.  this might be awesome.

so i was eating lunch alone today at cheng du, pondering life and all the uncertainty surrounding my approaching graduation (the end of next summer semester)....i was thinking (as i do nearly all the time now, to the point of not being able to study) of who will offer me a job, where that job will be, who will be there with me, what will my salary be, etc. 

at the beginning of the meal i read the chineese zodiac thing, and thought of how the boar really does describe my personality.  after i had been thinking awhile on the whole life thing, i saw someone across the way recieve their bill and fortune cookie and thought, "eureka!  the chineese will once again provide ancient and mystical insight into my situation."

5 minutes later after anxiously flagging my server and recieving my bill and fortune cookie i was dealt a near fatal blow.  the chineese offered me neither inspiration nor insight.  they offered me only a twisted sugar cookie.  no fortune.  what does this mean?  nothing.  what doesn't this mean?  everything.  shit.

i'll end on a happy note, the way everyone else has this week...

not alot has been happening lately, but i have been getting to do alot of this.

                                                          

i've probably played more guitar in the past week than in the past 2 or 3 years combined, not counting hs practice/shows/writing.  though i have been playing alot i don't always thrash quite as hard as the pic above.  i have been learning alot of bury your dead and as i lay dying though.
